High quality sheet ingots or rolling slabs are used in rolling mills for manufacturing aluminium foil and sheet products.
Much of the rolling slabs we are ultimately used for the production of a variety of consumer items, such as, foils, containers and utensils.
After alloying in the holding furnace to obtain the required composition as specified by the customer, the slabs are then cast to the required size.

Certain alloying elements will increase strength or corrosion resistance, while others enhance such properties as machinability, ductility, weldability and strength at high temperatures.
Alloying elements include:
- manganese (strength and formability)
- magnesium and silicon (strength and corrosion resistance)
- copper and zinc (higher strength)
- titanium and chromium (grain size control)
